God loves you and wants you to experience a relationship with Him.

Every one of us has junk in our lives that we’re not proud of. I’m sure you can think of a number of things that you’ve done that you know are wrong. The Bible calls this sin and tells us that everyone of us has sinned. (Romans 3:23)

Sin isn’t just bad decisions or things that we feel guilty about. Sin is ultimately rebellion against God by choosing to live for ourselves. Our sin separates us from God and condemns us to an eternity spent in Hell.

But God doesn’t leave us in our sin without a chance of being redeemed. Scripture tells us that while we were still sinners, Jesus died for us. (Ephesians 2) What makes this so incredible is that even though we have nothing to give to God, He loves us so much that He provided a way of salvation.

Jesus, being fully God, became a man in order to live the perfect life that we couldn’t live and to offer Himself as a sacrifice for our sins. He died a gruesome death on the cross and took our own sins upon Him. But the really good news is that on the third day, Jesus literally rose from the dead demonstrating once and for all that sin and death had been defeated.

Salvation is freely offered to everyone who chooses to follow Jesus through faith. Your sins can be washed away and you can receive eternal salvation by trusting in Jesus as Lord. Trust isn’t a quick prayer, but is a complete reliance upon Jesus; it requires us to lay down our previous sinful way of life and to begin living the way Jesus would have us live. It's a weighty decision. Even after making it, we're not going to be perfect. We will still regularly fail in our efforts to live a life that is pleasing to God. But through the grace of Jesus and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, we are transformed over time to better live out the Way of Jesus.
